I absolutely love thanksgiving.  Ever year i go to my grandmas with all my cousins for a huge dinner.  We always have lots of food like turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, corn, shrimp, fruit, veggies, green beans, salad and of course lots of dessert.  Lemon Meriange, pumpkin, apple and all the rest are my favorite. I look forward to Thanksgiving every year so much that i am gonna try not to even eat on Wendsday so i am starving for all the great food my Grandma makes. ITs the best:)

As this trimester is ending i really am glad that i am able to recall so may great memories from this class.  This has been a great start to 8th grade because Mr. Moore is such an inspiring and exciting teacher.  We learned many things in this short span of time which includes getting to know and using many sites, and other sources.  We even were able to have and operate a wiki, website, glog, and even our very own blog.  I plan on taking all of these great things with me when i leave this class.   Now, thanks to Web 2.0 i will be able to access my blog and wiki as well as other sites to help with my future classes.  I can now combined all of the information i know to further more advance myself in school.  Even the search sites we used this year such as MeL, google, and pictures for learning will be a great thing to remember.  I really do not know what i would have done without this valuable class.  The new macs have really improved my skills and showed me all the amazing things you can do with one computer.

For years the MSU team has supported inspiring coaches,

team players,

amazing athletes,

outstanding all around players,

and supportive fans.

This year they have several new things happening on campus players graduating and teams winning night after night.  Dehaan the senior center of the MSU girls basketball team has been chosen for the Naismith Player of the year along with 49 other candidates.  She is also nearing the NCCA record for blocked shots set by Irvin at 480.

She only needs 71 more to break the record and now is averaging 8 points and 5 rebounds a game! We will just have to wait and see the outcome.

Helen Phillips shared her life story with the world about her trip to the ranch and being on the season of the Biggest Loser.  She reported that is changed her life, although she lost 140 pounds that was only a small part of her success it really helped her start a new life.  The $250,000 may have also changed her life but for Helen that was not he important part.  She now is confident and no longer depressed about her size but instead can show off herself and live life in a new way.  I really liked hearing her story because many children are facing obesity and she can be an inspiration.  Maybe she can show off her success and help the whole country lose wieght and began a new LIFE:)

I definitely do not like uniforms or think they are appropriate for school children. When kids are allowed to express themselves through style they feel more confident,successful and determined. It also gives them the opportunity to show other children what they like and dint like through their clothes. I disagree with principals wanting their school to be involved in uniforms because it limits children. Allowing kids to chose what they were to school creates a much more relaxed, free and healthy environment. I would never want to go to school every day wearing the same thing.

I chose Flamingos, because i really like how pretty they look.  They have a unique style of life and a very strange size for a bird.  You would imagine a bird to fly in the sky, and live in nest buried in trees for most birds but not Flamingos.  Their habitat in on land, which makes them so unique.  They are part of a rare type of bird such as ostridges, and penguins that use different ways to survive then most birds such as seagulls and robins.  I also find they amazing because of their color no other bird is pink.  I just think that’s spectacular! )))

If i was president for a whole day i would make a lot of changes.  First i would take a look at the the problems such as economy our country has and solutions as well as how i could make peoples life better.  I would like to support many peoples problems and challenges by making changes in law and policies, like taxes.  I would also look at what our president is doing wrong so i could correct him, but really i would make school days shorter so you could sleep in, i would make sure that struggling states wouldn’t have to change to a new school system, they would need more money than, last i would through a huge party at the White House and party all night long until i could go home and be excited about all the brilliant changes i made:)

So far over the last three years at HAYES i have really enjoyed it!!!  Each year i learned a lot and meet some really nice people!  It has been really fun;)  My favorite year was 6th grade and well 8th too but seventh grade was very very boring.  I did not make any mistakes so i didn’t learn from them either unless its talking about like Choir.  Since i talk just a little to much my grade has been slipping but don’t worry i fixing it really soon.  For all the 6th graders next year, i hope you have just as much fun as i did:)

I think that i would not like to be an umpire because i don’t understand baseball or play it.  I do not have a passion to watch baseball either.  That also looks like a hard job because it takes a lot of patience and focus, i don’t really have that either.  Also people may not always like the calls you make, you always want to have a fair.  So instead of an umpire i would want to be a cake maker.  Then i could make cakes all day and eat them. That would be ways more FUN anyways!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Lauren!!! i Love sports, friends, and family.

I play Basketball, and volleyball  I play on several basketball teams because that is my favorite thing to do when i am not busy or at school.  Volleyball is also very FUN!

I love MSU football games, and spending time at my cottage.  At my cottage i like to water ski, tube, swim, and suntan!!  But my absolutely favorite season is fall because it is close to Christmas, it’s cold and that’s when football games are.

Another thing i like to do is spend time with my friends, no matter where we are we always have lots of fun!!!

My favorite foods are sushi, chinese and noodles.  I like any kinda food like ice cream and cake!!!!  =]]]]
